The Matthew J. Schnirel Memorial Scholarship

The Matthew J. Schnirel Memorial Scholarship provides an annual scholarship to students in their third year of study at the University at Buffalo Law School. The scholarship will be given to students who have participated in the Law School Trial Advocacy program and who are in good academic standing. Preference will be given to students who work while going to school, partake in outside activities, or do volunteer work.

The University at Buffalo Law School and the Matthew J. Schnirel Committee work together to determine the candidate who is best fit for the scholarship. We then present the winning candidate with the scholarship and an award, as well as having one’s name printed on a Matthew J. Schnirel Memorial Scholarship plaque hanging in the Law Library at UB.
