In 2009 the Matthew J. Schnirel Committee established a foundation at the University at Buffalo Law School, where Matt graduated from in 2008.  We will honor a student each year to receive a scholarship in Matt's name who demonstrate similar unique qualities that Matt displayed throughout his lifetime.  This will be an ongoing benefit that will help law students who were in a similar position to Matt, and will also carry on his legacy forever.
